Internationals of American citizens of Japanese descent and Japanese immigrants celebrated the New Year in 1945 at the Topaz Relocation Center, Utah.

During the participation of the United States in World War II, there was sentiment towards Japanese-blooded people in the United States. Although many of them have legitimate United States citizenship, there is still suspicion of those who are considered to be more loyal to their home countries. As a precaution against the emergence of American-Japanese rebellion and violence against them by other Americans, relocation centers were built in almost all countries.
